About This Project
A Facebook app to promote SEGA’s London 2012™ – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games. The app allows the user to create a custom olympic athlete using their own face.
The user chooses gender and country of their athlete, then either uploads a photo from their computer or chooses one from their existing Facebook photo albums. The face is cropped and inserted into the athlete image. The user is then able to post the image to their Facebook wall, download it or choose to use it as their Facebook profile picture.
Features: internationalisation (7 languages), IP geolocation, integration with Facebook Graph API for album retrieval and image uploading. Photo uploading with progress meter, Flash photo cropping, server-side image optimisation.
